A School Excursion Group from Singapore's Republic Polytechnic Visits Sacheon,
the Hub of Aerospace and Marine Tourism
Sacheon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 10th that a school excursion group and officials from Republic Polytechnic in Singapore visited Sacheon.
Republic Polytechnic in Singapore, established in 1954, is the country's first polytechnic university. With 12,499 students and 1,423 faculty members, it is regarded as Singapore's top public technical university, and many of its graduates are prominent entrepreneurs.

View original imageThe school excursion group, consisting of 40 students from the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Aviation Management and 3 faculty members, a total of 43 people, visited Korea for an eight-day itinerary.
The group toured the Aerospace Museum, Aerospace Science Museum, and Sacheon Airport, all located in Sacheon, the aerospace capital of Korea, experiencing the history of Korea's aerospace development and cutting-edge space science technology.
The city presented commemorative gifts, including a premium desk mat designed with "Ttoa," the representative character of Sacheon tourism, a snow globe featuring "Popo & Dori," the symbols of Sacheon Sea Cable Car, a bilingual Sacheon tourism map, and a tourism guidebook.
A city official stated, "This year marks both the '30th anniversary of integration' and the 'Year of Visiting Sacheon,' so we expect many tourists to visit. We will enhance Sacheon's tourism image by providing even more friendly services and diverse content in our tourism marketing efforts."
