Investigation into the cause to follow after containment
A fire broke out in a mountain area in Muan, Jeonnam, and firefighting authorities are currently working to extinguish it.
At around 2:07 p.m. on the 7th, a fire started in a mountain area in Gwangsan-ri, Haeje-myeon, Muan-gun, resulting in the loss of part of the forest.
Upon receiving the report, firefighting authorities dispatched three helicopters and 60 firefighters to continue the extinguishing operation. So far, there have been no reported casualties.
The police and firefighting authorities plan to investigate the exact ignition point, cause of the fire, and the extent of the damage once the fire is completely under control.
