Strengthening the Global Status of Korean Medicine... National Institute for Korean Medicine Development Publishes "Standard Clinical Practice Guidelines for Fractures"
Registered with International Academic Network, "GIN"
Elevating the Global Standing of Korean Medicine
The National Institute for Korean Medicine Development's Korean Medicine Innovative Technology Development Project Group recently published the Standard Clinical Practice Guidelines for Fractures in Korean Medicine.
These guidelines are expected to contribute to improving patient health and advancing the field of Korean medicine by providing standardized medical services. They will also serve as foundational data for enhancing national healthcare policies and systems.
Notably, the newly published guidelines have been registered with the Guidelines International Network (GIN), an international academic network, and are expected to elevate the global standing of Korean medicine.
Since 2016, the development of the Standard Clinical Practice Guidelines for Korean Medicine has been carried out with support from the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The process includes qualitative evaluation based on the internationally recognized AGREE 2.0 (Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation) methodology, and applies globally accepted guideline development, review, and certification methods.
To date, a total of 54 guidelines have been completed. Through the Korean Medicine Innovative Technology Development Project (R&D), the group plans to continue developing new guidelines and upgrading existing ones through 2029.
To raise awareness of the Standard Clinical Practice Guidelines for Korean Medicine, the project group is also producing and distributing patient leaflets and infographic image files for clinical reference that can be used in hospitals and clinics.
To commemorate this publication, the project group will hold a "Free Book Giveaway Event" on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 1 p.m. on April 4.
Anyone interested in Korean medicine can participate through the National Korean Medicine Clinical Information Portal. After the event ends, the electronic files of the guidelines, promotional leaflets, and infographic image files will be available for free download on the website.
