The space covers an area of 176.65㎡ and consists of two classrooms and a lounge area. In addition to technology and practical fields, it will expand opportunities for learning that can be usefully applied in daily life, such as humanities lectures and learning consulting.
The basic course of the ‘Indoor Architecture (Home Repair) Technician Training’ program (Sinwol area), which was launched for the first time this year and attracted much attention with a competition rate of 5 to 1, will be fully operated at the Sinwol Lifelong Learning Center Annex starting this month. This education program, designed to teach residents the theory and skills necessary for home repair such as insulation and electricity, and to establish a virtuous cycle of volunteer activities and job creation for vulnerable groups, will be conducted in three areas: Mok-dong, Sinwol-dong, and Sinjeong-dong.
Additionally, to commemorate the opening of the Sinwol Lifelong Learning Center Annex, the district will offer a total of nine ‘One-Day Special Lectures’ free of charge throughout April. Detailed programs include fields such as aromatherapy and financial management, and interested residents can apply through the ‘Yangcheon-gu Lifelong Learning Portal.’
Furthermore, various certification acquisition courses, after-school science classes for nearby elementary students, humanities lectures such as culture, arts, and philosophy, as well as career and academic counseling will be organized as regular courses to strengthen its function as a technology-specialized lifelong learning hub. Meanwhile, the Sinwol Lifelong Learning Center, which opened in July last year, operates technology programs such as cooking, workshops, horticulture, and sewing.
