Gyeonggi-do to Study Global Advanced Policies... 15 Teams, 60 Members Selected
Gyeonggi Province held a global policy research training team selection audition on the 27th and selected 15 teams totaling 60 members.
The global policy research training is a benchmarking program designed to study advanced overseas cases and apply them to Gyeonggi Province administration.
Amid rapidly changing administrative environments, Gyeonggi Province planned this project to enhance the global competitiveness of provincial administration through research reflecting international policy trends.
The research topics include a total of 15 tasks: 6 designated tasks including core agendas of the 8th term of the provincial government and 9 autonomous tasks addressing current issues of various departments and offices.
Major research topics include ▲ a study on advanced cases for promoting the Gyeonggi Province Caregiving SOS Project ▲ a study on advanced cases of labor hour reduction ▲ AI-based smart traffic safety research ▲ innovation of work models utilizing the expertise of the 50+ generation, among others.
In particular, to advance the Gyeonggi Province Caregiving SOS Project, the caregiving insurance systems, service quality, and family caregiver support policies of Sweden and Norway will be analyzed to establish a Gyeonggi Province-type caregiving service model.

Along with this, excellent cases of AI-based smart traffic safety policies from Sweden and Denmark will be studied to consider applying them to the ‘2030 Gyeonggi Province Intelligent Transportation System Basic Plan’.
To facilitate smooth research by the teams, Gyeonggi Province will support training expenses ranging from 15 to 20 million KRW per team and provide up to 1.75 million KRW for interpretation fees. The training results will be shared at a performance report meeting in September, and outstanding research topics will be reflected in policies.
