Ha Jung-woo Absent from Director's Cut Premiere Due to Emergency Appendectomy
Absent from 'Lobby' Promotional Events on the 25th
Actor and director Ha Jung-woo (real name Kim Sung-hoon) will miss a film event due to emergency surgery for acute appendicitis.
Film distributor Showbox announced on the 25th, "Ha Jung-woo was on his way to attend today's schedule when he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and had to undergo emergency surgery."
Ha Jung-woo was scheduled to hold a press screening for the film Lobby, which he directed and starred in, at a theater in Seoul at 2 p.m. that day to introduce the work. He was also set to participate in a stage greeting and a sympathy counseling event at the same theater, but he will be absent from all.
Lobby is his third directorial work and his first film as a director in 10 years. It tells the story of Chang-wook (Ha Jung-woo), a startup CEO who only knew research, starting his first lobbying golf to win a 4 trillion won national project.
