Along with this, the city will conduct joint research with Gyeonggi Province to establish the '6th Mid- to Long-Term Comprehensive Development Plan for Gwangmyeong City as a Lifelong Learning City.' This plan must be compulsorily established every five years according to the city's Lifelong Education Promotion Ordinance.
