Applications Open Until the 28th
for Young People Living in Jeonse or Monthly Rental Housing
Haenam County, Jeonnam Province (Governor Myung Hyun-gwan) announced on the 20th that it will provide housing cost support to ensure housing stability and help young workers settle down.
The eligible recipients are young people without homes who live in jeonse (long-term deposit rental) or monthly rental housing and whose income is below a certain threshold. If selected, they will receive 200,000 KRW in cash per month for up to 12 months.
Applicants must be young workers (employees or self-employed) aged between 18 and 45 who have their address registered in Haenam County and live in a jeonse house with a loan of at least 50 million KRW or a monthly rental house with a rent of 600,000 KRW or less.
The program targets those with a household income at or below 150% of the median (for single-person households, 3.58 million KRW per month). Homeowners, those serving in the military, and those already receiving housing support from the national or local government are excluded.
Fifteen recipients will be selected in April based on priority criteria. Young people wishing to apply should check the eligibility requirements in the public notice on the Haenam County website and submit the required documents to their local town or township office by the 28th.
In addition, the Haenam-style youth housing support program, which provides 100,000 KRW per month for up to 10 months using county funds, will be announced on the 28th, with applications accepted from the 31st until the 17th of the following month.
