View original imageDemocratic Party lawmakers from the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee visited the National Police Agency in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, in the afternoon and met with Acting Commissioner Lee Ho-young. The Democratic Party lawmakers stated, "The egg-throwing incident targeting lawmaker Baek Hye-ryun is an act of violence and intimidation against the Constitutional Court," adding, "Although it was predicted a few days ago, it was not prevented."
Shin Jeong-hoon, chairman of the Public Administration and Security Committee, said, "We focused on questioning whether the incident occurred due to a lax security posture toward YouTubers and protesters in front of the Constitutional Court," and requested the removal of the tent next to the Constitutional Court main gate where supporters of President Yoon Seok-yeol are staging a sit-in.

Democratic Party lawmaker Yoon Geon-young conveyed that the police leadership responded by expressing regret over the unfortunate incident despite their best efforts. The police stated they would strictly control the passage of far-right YouTubers in front of the Constitutional Court and use barricades to prevent intimidation acts against the Constitutional Court.
