Gochang County Launches 'Travel Expense Support Program' for Spring Festival
From April 4 to May 8... Support for a Total of 60 Teams
Gochang County in North Jeolla Province is launching the "Travel Expense Support Project (Come and Enjoy Gochang Spring Festival)" to mark the start of the spring festival season.
According to the county on the 19th, the travel expense support will be provided to a total of 60 teams from April 4, when the cherry blossom festival begins, to May 8.
The conditions for travel expense support are as follows: ▲Residents outside Gochang ▲Advance application ▲At least one night of accommodation ▲Visit to at least one of the nine scenic spots of Gochang ▲Visit to the cherry blossom or Cheongboribat Festival venue ▲Visit to at least one restaurant, cafe, or specialty product shop ▲Upload of a social media post ▲Receipts totaling at least 200,000 KRW (only 50% of accommodation expenses are recognized).
For those who meet all the conditions, a refund will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis via the Gochang Love Card: 100,000 KRW for spending over 200,000 KRW, 150,000 KRW for spending over 300,000 KRW, and 200,000 KRW for spending over 400,000 KRW.
The application process requires advance registration through Naver Form, receiving an approval text message, and submitting a settlement application within seven days after traveling on the approved date. Choi Soonpil, head of the World Heritage Division of Gochang County, said, "Through this project to support travel expenses for tourists visiting Gochang festival venues, we will work to revitalize the local economy and tourism by promoting local consumption and attracting more stay-type tourists."
