Incheon City Provides Up to 28 Million KRW Support to Companies Hiring New Young Employees
Incheon City is recruiting participating companies for the 'Youth Employment Excellent Company Work Environment Improvement Project' until the 11th of next month.
The support targets are small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in the Incheon area with 5 or more regular employees, and they must have a record of hiring at least 2 young workers for small businesses and 8 or more for medium-sized businesses within the past year.
Selected companies can receive support of up to 28 million KRW for facility renovation costs such as restrooms, lounges, and shower rooms, as well as for purchasing environment improvement items like air conditioners and washing machines, depending on the number of newly hired young employees.
Companies wishing to participate can check the recruitment announcement and apply through the 'Incheon BizOK' website. The city plans to support 30 companies this year.
This project has been implemented since 2018, improving the environment of 369 companies and achieving a total employment record of over 2,000 young people.

An official from Incheon City stated, "As the job mismatch phenomenon between youth and small businesses intensifies, factors such as aging facilities and poor working conditions are pointed out as major reasons why young people avoid small businesses," adding, "We provide work environment improvement funds to small and medium-sized manufacturing companies with records of newly hiring young workers so that youth can work in a pleasant environment."
