View original imageKORAIL Gwangju Headquarters (Director Kim Youngjin) announced on the 12th that it recently carried out the 'Jeongjeongdangdang Campaign' at Gwangju Songjeong Station and Gwangju Station to promote the establishment of a proper and fair train usage culture and to prevent fare evasion.
Under the theme 'Fair and Properly,' this campaign focused on raising awareness about the problems of fare evasion and encouraging legitimate train usage through promotional activities.
The main types of fare evasion include boarding without a ticket, misuse of discounted tickets, and improper use of commuter passes. According to the Railroad Business Act, up to 30 times the regular fare for the traveled section may be charged as an additional fee.
Kim Youngjin, Director of KORAIL Gwangju Headquarters, stated, "The Jeongjeongdangdang Campaign aims to foster an honest and fair train usage culture," and added, "We will continue our efforts to create a train culture that everyone can trust and use together."
