Iksan City Imposes Regular Public Property Lease Fees
Payment Period: 13th to 31st
395 Parcels of Land and Buildings
Iksan City, North Jeolla Province, announced on the 12th that it will be imposing the 2025 regular lease fees for public property.
The total lease fees being imposed this time amount to 43.35 million KRW (42.75 million KRW for 379 parcels of city-owned property and 600,000 KRW for 16 parcels of province-owned property). The fees apply to 395 parcels of land and buildings classified as general property.
The public property lease fee is imposed once a year by applying a usage-based rate (1% for cultivation, 2% for residential, 5% for other purposes) to the appraised property value (such as the officially announced individual land price). The payment period for this year's lease fee is from the 13th to the 31st. Payment can be made by visiting a nearby financial institution, using an ATM, or through a virtual account or electronic payment number.
The city is continuously conducting surveys on idle property, unauthorized occupation and use, and omitted properties to efficiently manage public property and secure tax revenue. In particular, properties with high management burdens or low utilization value will be sold to increase efficiency, and measures such as imposing compensation fees for unauthorized occupation and use will be strengthened.
A city official stated, "If the lease fee is not paid within the deadline, a late fee will be imposed and the contract may be terminated, so please be careful. Also, if public property is used without authorization, a compensation fee may be imposed, so be sure to sign a lease contract before use."
