Suwon ITS Organizing Committee Invites Ministers and Vice Ministers from Over 30 Countries to May General Assembly
More than 30 ministers and vice ministers from various countries will attend the "20th Suwon Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Asia-Pacific Congress" to be held in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province this May.
The Suwon ITS Asia-Pacific Congress Organizing Committee announced on the 7th that it has decided to invite ministers and vice ministers from over 30 Asia-Pacific countries to the Suwon Congress.
ITS refers to a transportation system that efficiently manages traffic information through advanced transportation technology and enhances traffic efficiency and safety through scientific and automated operations.
The ITS Asia-Pacific Congress has been held annually since it began in 1996 in Tokyo, Japan, except for the years when the ITS World Congress is held in the Asia-Pacific region.
The "2025 Suwon ITS Asia-Pacific Congress" will invite 30 deputy minister-level officials from the Asia-Pacific region. Provided by Suwon City

It is the first time in 23 years that the ITS Asia-Pacific Congress is held in Korea since it was last hosted in Seoul in 2002.
The Suwon ITS Organizing Committee plans to send official invitations to more than 30 countries interested in introducing ITS, including nine member countries of the ITS Asia-Pacific such as China, Japan, and Australia.

The city of Suwon, co-hosting the congress with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, stated, "The congress will feature high-level meetings with ministers and vice ministers, academic sessions, exhibitions and business consultations, as well as technical inspections and demonstrations. Approximately 10,000 participants from various Asia-Pacific countries are expected," adding, "We anticipate that the direction for ITS development will be presented."
