Chungnam Province Signs Job Performance Contracts with 117 Executives of Grade 4 and Above
234 Key Tasks Selected Under Job Performance Contracts
On the morning of the 4th, Chungnam Province signed the 2025 job performance contracts with senior officials at grade 4 and above in the provincial government’s main conference room, reflecting Governor Kim Taeheum’s commitment to performance-oriented and challenging tasks.
On this day, Governor Kim received the job performance contract from the Director of Planning and Coordination on behalf of all senior officials and gave his final signature.
Previously, on the 20th of last month, the province conducted performance interviews for contract tasks with 117 officials at grade 4 and above, including directors of departments and agencies, ordering them to take on challenging tasks to drive the development of the provincial government.
Key initiatives selected under the job performance contract include: securing 12.3 trillion won in next year’s government budget; expanding domestic and foreign investment attraction to broaden Chungnam’s economic territory; leading the creation of future industries for Korea and balanced national development; establishing regional medical facilities where residents can feel safe; successfully operating the Chungnam Visit Year and proactively achieving a carbon-neutral society; and expanding smart farm complexes to overcome the low birthrate crisis and lay the foundation for young farmers’ startups, among a total of 234 tasks.
The selected tasks will be evaluated throughout the year based on challenge, performance, difficulty, implementation, and achievement of targets, and the final results will be reflected in various personnel management decisions, including performance-based pay for managers at grade 5 and above.
Governor Kim stated, “This year marks the fourth year of the 8th popularly elected administration, and it is time to visibly demonstrate achievements in all areas of provincial government to meet the heightened expectations of residents. Please respond proactively to change and take the initiative in pioneering new paths with the spirit of Eungbyeonchangsin, meaning ‘responding to change with innovation,’ and dynamically and passionately carry out your duties to achieve this year’s plans and goals without setbacks.”
