Detailed Policies Introduced at the Content IP Promotion Headquarters Briefing Session
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency will hold the '2025 Content IP Promotion Headquarters Support Project Briefing Session' on the 27th at the conference room on the 16th floor of the CKL Enterprise Support Center in Jung-gu, Seoul. This event introduces policies to strengthen the global competitiveness of webtoons, comics, and animations to creators and companies.
This year, the Korea Creative Content Agency will support 8.25 billion KRW to enhance the global status of K-Webtoons and discover super IPs. They will newly promote global webtoon IP production support and localization content discovery, and expand and reorganize webtoon and comic translation support.
They will also take over and continue the support for diverse comic production and early-stage creation support, which had been carried out by the Korea Manhwa Contents Agency. An official stated, "We plan to maintain the existing content and scale while improving the application method so that creators can conveniently utilize the support funds."

The Korea Creative Content Agency will also accelerate support for animation production, which has discovered and nurtured excellent K-content. They plan to support the entire animation industry cycle by promoting production support, distribution support, planning and development contests, and bootcamp projects. An official explained, "We will enhance efficiency through integrated announcements and unified evaluations, and improve business convenience for the industry by relaxing the criteria for project costs and self-funding for theatrical production support."
