The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Kbiz) announced on the 25th that it will hold the "16th Small and Medium Business Awareness IDEA Contest" to dispel prejudices against small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and to promote positive perceptions of the excellence and potential of SMEs.
The submission period is from February 24 to March 21, and the contest categories are poster and video. High school students, university students, and the general public are all eligible to participate.
The detailed themes of the contest include ▲ the socio-economic role, importance, and value of SMEs ▲ improving prejudices (perceptions) about SMEs ▲ career development cases through employment in SMEs, among others. Participants are free to express through their works the positive image and diversity of SMEs, as well as their potential as good workplaces and stepping stones for careers.
The winning entries, selected based on feasibility, applicability, and creativity, will be announced at the end of April. Awardees will receive certificates and a cash prize, including awards from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, the Minister of Employment and Labor, and the Minister of SMEs and Startups. The winning works will be utilized for promotional activities to improve awareness of SMEs, including being exhibited at the Kbiz headquarters in Yeouido during Small and Medium Business Week in the third week of May.
