The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is strengthening the training of specialized personnel tailored for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to respond to the rapidly changing industrial environment.

This year, the agency plans to improve the quality of education for SME employees. It will carefully select 53 courses to expand advanced training in new industry fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud, and Internet of Things (IoT), and will recruit experts with extensive field experience to enhance the professionalism of the education.

Additionally, considering the characteristics of the northern Gyeonggi region, where the furniture industry is concentrated, the agency will establish customized programs and expand educational infrastructure. To facilitate trainees, a two-way communication system using social networking services (SNS) will be introduced, and modernization of educational equipment will also be undertaken.

Kang Ji-hoon, Executive Director of the Economic Division at the agency, stated, "With the advent of the AI era, the digital transformation of SMEs is expected to accelerate further. We plan to strengthen education in new technologies such as AI and big data to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs and support their practical growth."
