Yeongju-si Supports 'Small Business High-Efficiency Equipment Subsidy' This Year
Up to KRW 1.2 Million for Air Conditioners/Heaters and Refrigerators
Up to KRW 600,000 for Washing Machines and Dryers
Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk Province is accepting additional subsidy applications for beneficiaries of the ‘2025 Small Business High-Efficiency Equipment Support Project.’
This project is part of the Korea Electric Power Corporation’s (KEPCO) Small Business High-Efficiency Equipment Support Program, aimed at improving energy use efficiency while alleviating the electricity bill burden for small business owners. Notably, within Gyeongbuk Province, only nine cities and counties, including Yeongju City, provide additional local government funding to offer more substantial benefits to small business owners.
The support targets small business owners who have obtained a ‘Small Business Confirmation Certificate (Small Business Owner).’ When purchasing one of four product categories?air conditioners/heaters, refrigerators, washing machines, or dryers?with an energy consumption efficiency rating of Grade 1, KEPCO will cover 40% of the purchase price (excluding VAT).
Subsequently, Yeongju City will provide an additional 30% support only to small business owners who have received KEPCO’s subsidy. The support limit is up to KRW 1.2 million for air conditioners/heaters and refrigerators, and up to KRW 600,000 for washing machines and dryers, with support available for one unit per business on a first-come, first-served basis.
Small business owners wishing to apply for the additional subsidy should apply online through KEPCO’s Energy Marketplace and, after receiving the subsidy, submit the required documents along with the KEPCO subsidy payment confirmation to Yeongju City’s Job and Economy Division.
The necessary documents can be confirmed through the project announcement posted on Yeongju City’s official website (Notice/Announcement section). For further inquiries, contact Yeongju City Hall’s Job and Economy Division.
