Busan Gijang-gun to Promote 'Hope Gijang Job Busking' Again This Year
‘Hope Gijang Job Busking’
Monthly On-site Recruitment Events
Held on the Fourth Wednesday from February to November
Busan Gijang-gun will promote the ‘Hope Gijang Job Busking’ at local Donghae Line railway stations and other locations on the fourth Wednesday of every month from February to November.
‘Hope Gijang Job Busking’ is a customized, on-demand recruitment support system that meets the constant hiring needs of companies. It is part of the ‘Gijang-type Employment System’ that the county has been implementing since last year. To ensure accessibility for participants and convenience in transportation, the events are held mainly at multi-use facilities such as Donghae Line stations.
This year, the ‘Hope Gijang Job Busking’ will start at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the 26th, at Jwacheon Station, and then tour locations including Jeonggwan Senior Welfare Center, Gijang Station, and Ilgwang Station, taking place on the fourth Wednesday of every month until November.
On the day of the event, local residents and job seekers will be offered ▲on-site recruitment interviews (agency) ▲employment consulting ▲job information ▲job vacancy and job seeker counseling and application ▲health experience zones.
Additionally, to support the successful employment and mental health independence of job seekers who are physically and mentally exhausted from job hunting and career changes, the county will collaborate with the Gijang-gun Public Health Center to provide on-site ▲mental health counseling (depression and stress tests) ▲blood pressure and blood sugar measurement for chronic disease management ▲BMI measurement for obesity management ▲promotion of national cancer screening programs.
Job seekers wishing to find employment can participate in the event by bringing their ID and attending according to the busking schedule to receive customized job counseling and apply for jobs. Companies wishing to conduct on-site recruitment and interviews should coordinate the schedule in advance with the Job Information Team of the Gijang-gun Job and Economy Division.
County Governor Jeong Jong-bok said, “I hope this job busking activity will be a successful employment opportunity for people of all ages,” and added, “We will spare no effort to actively support all job seekers until the day they find the jobs they desire.”
