Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Conducts Personnel Appointments for 161 General Public Officials
63 Promotions, 45 Transfers, 28 New Appointments
The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 19th that it has carried out the 'Local Government Officials Personnel Appointment as of March 1, 2025.'
This personnel appointment involves a total of 161 individuals, including 63 promotions (7 to Grade 6, 16 to Grade 7, 40 to Grade 8), 45 transfers, 25 retirements (including honorable retirements), and 28 new appointments.
The Office focused on promptly assigning necessary personnel to frontline schools experiencing staffing shortages due to leaves or retirements at the start of the new school year. In particular, promotions were also implemented to boost morale among lower-grade officials.
Additionally, by quickly assigning those who passed last year’s local government official recruitment exam, the Office aimed to help new employees settle into the organization and to support educational sites facing difficulties due to manpower shortages.
Lee Seonguk, Director of General Affairs, stated, “This personnel appointment focused on the stable operation of the organization by quickly supplementing staff in institutions (schools) struggling with vacancies. We will continue to make efforts to place personnel in the right positions so that we can proactively and flexibly respond to the changing demands of the educational environment.”
