Chosun University and Buk-gu Gwangju Successfully Complete AI and SW Convergence Coding Education During Winter Vacation

View original imageChosun University (President Kim Chunseong) announced on the 19th that it has held the '2025 Winter Vacation AI·SW Convergence Coding Education' project in collaboration with Buk-gu District Office in Gwangju for the sixth consecutive year.
This project is being carried out based on a 'Business Agreement for Establishing a Foundation for Nurturing Artificial Intelligence (AI) Talent' signed between Chosun University and Buk-gu District Office in 2020.
This year's program was held every weekend in February at Buk-gu Youth Center, with students from seven schools participating: Jeondaesadaebu Middle School, Gakhwa Middle School, Kumho Jungang Girls' High School, Yangsan Middle School, Sungil Middle School, Jeonnam Girls' Commercial High School, and Salesio High School.
Professor Jo Youngju from the Chosun University AI·SW Education Center, together with student assistants Da-Hoon Won, Beom-Soo Kang, Yoon-Sung Jo, and Min-Hyuk Choi from the School of Computer Engineering, College of IT Convergence, led hands-on and collaborative learning activities such as ▲ building autonomous vehicles using AI·SW ▲ AI ethics ▲ programming languages ▲ creating AI robotic hands ▲ building a breakdancer robot and algorithm education.
Professor Jo Youngju stated, "It is meaningful that we have been able to consistently run this program for six years, helping students explore future career paths and develop basic AI competencies in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution," and added, "I hope that students who participate in the program will develop an interest in AI·SW and grow into future core talents with the foundational AI skills required across all professions."
A Buk-gu District Office official said, "We are grateful that Chosun University has provided AI education utilizing expert resources for six years," and added, "We hope this will help students with their future career choices, and we plan to discover and operate even easier and more enjoyable AI education programs together with Chosun University."
