"Overwhelming Retaliation Against Any North Korean Provocation"
Our military conducted the first naval live-fire exercise of the Northwest Islands Unit this year.
The military announced that on the 19th, the 6th Marine Brigade under the Northwest Islands Defense Command and the Yeonpyeong Unit conducted the first quarter naval live-fire exercise at Baengnyeongdo and Yeonpyeongdo in Incheon, with the participation of K-9 self-propelled howitzers.
This live-fire exercise is a defensive training regularly conducted to maintain combat readiness posture, and was carried out in compliance with the armistice agreement regulations under the observation of the international inspection team belonging to the Military Armistice Commission and the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission.
