Yeongam County Recognized as 'Excellent' for Data-Driven Administration for Two Consecutive Years
Leading Innovation in County Administration Through Data Analysis and Utilization
Yeongam County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Woo Seunghee) was selected as an excellent institution for the second consecutive year in the "2024 Data-Driven Administration Activation Status Assessment" conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on the 17th.
According to the county on the 19th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's assessment evaluates the level of implementation of data-driven administration across 679 public institutions nationwide, including central administrative agencies and local governments.
This year, as well as last year, Yeongam County received the highest grade of "Excellent" among the 679 public institutions nationwide. In particular, last year, through a project by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Yeongam County established and has been operating the "Yeongam County Data Assistant," a platform that consolidates public data in one place.
Additionally, the county is purchasing private sector data to analyze the resident population and local commercial districts, and is identifying and promoting analysis projects using data in key areas of county administration such as tourism, welfare, and agriculture to formulate policies.
Lee Youngjoo, Director of Public Relations Strategy, stated, "We will enhance the administrative efficiency of Yeongam County through data analysis and utilization, and realize smart administration that meets the diverse needs of county residents."
