Yongin City Provides Employment Incentives to Companies Hiring Experienced Women
400,000 KRW Monthly Support Per Person for Six Months
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for employment incentives until the 21st for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that hire women with work experience.
This program, which the city has been implementing since 2011, aims to support women who have experienced career interruptions due to marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, and other reasons to return to economic activities and continue their careers.
Eligible applicants are SMEs in the manufacturing sector located in Yongin that hire women with work experience for at least one month. The city provides support of 400,000 KRW per month per employee for up to six months. During the selection process, additional points will be given to companies that hire eligible personnel through the Yongin Job Center or Yongin Women’s New Work Center, or companies selected as "Yongin City Excellent Companies."
However, companies managed by direct ascendants, workers who benefited from this program last year, and companies that received similar support from the government or local governments are excluded from eligibility. Companies wishing to apply can download the application form from the "Yongin Enterprise Support System," complete it, and submit it along with the required documents. The city plans to select the supported companies through document screening in February. Detailed information can be found on the Yongin Enterprise Support System or the Yongin City website.
