US Vice President: "We Will Build the Most Powerful AI System in the US"
U.S. Vice President JD Vance said on the 11th (local time), "We will strive to make American artificial intelligence (AI) the highest standard," adding, "The Trump administration will build the most powerful AI systems in the United States."
Vice President Vance made these remarks as one of the closing speakers at the 3rd AI Action Summit held at the Grand Palais in Paris, France.
He first stated, "The Trump administration believes that AI will provide numerous innovative applications across various fields such as economic innovation, job creation, national security, healthcare, and freedom of expression."
He continued, "We want to initiate the AI revolution ahead of us in a spirit of openness and cooperation," adding, "To build this trust, a regulatory system that facilitates rather than hinders the development of AI technology is necessary."
Vice President Vance also said, "Especially our European friends need to view this new frontier with optimism rather than fear," emphasizing, "The reason cutting-edge AI development is possible in the U.S. today is because of maintaining an open regulatory environment."

He further stated, "Some authoritarian regimes have enhanced military intelligence and surveillance capabilities with AI, collected foreign data, and created propaganda to undermine the security of other countries," adding, "Let me be clear: the Trump administration will completely block such efforts and protect American AI and chip technology from theft and misuse."
