The cadastral resurvey project is a national initiative being carried out annually until 2030 to correct discrepancies between the registered boundaries in cadastral records and the actual land status, and to convert paper-based cadastral maps into digital cadastral maps.
Last month, through a public notice, the county designated the Daejeon Sejong Chungnam Regional Headquarters of Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation and Jeongtong Geoinformatics Co., Ltd. as joint executors. On January 20-21, the county held resident briefings for the residents of Bangok 1-ri and Namsan 1-ri and 2-ri to share the purpose, procedures, and cooperation matters related to the project.
In particular, the county posted a video of the briefing session on YouTube, allowing residents who could not attend to easily access information about the project, thereby making efforts to ensure residents' right to know.
Starting next month, the county plans to begin full-scale surveying, finalize the boundaries within the year, and actively push forward with the goal of completing the project by June next year.
A county official stated, "Through this cadastral resurvey project, we will secure the property rights of landowners and enhance the value of land use," and added, "We ask for the active participation and cooperation of landowners to ensure the smooth progress of the project."
