869 Teachers Finalized for Seoul Public Middle and High Schools... Male Teachers Exceed 30%
A total of 869 teachers were selected this year for public schools and national special schools in the Seoul area.
On the 11th, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced the final successful candidates for the 2025 academic year Seoul public and national secondary school teachers, as well as special (secondary), health, nutrition, librarian, and professional counseling teacher recruitment exams on the Office of Education website.
The successful candidates include 868 public school teachers across 24 subjects and 1 special (secondary) teacher at the National Hanguk Woojin School.
Among the 868 successful public school teachers, males accounted for 31.7% (275), an increase of 4.5 percentage points from last year's 27.2% (202).
The proportion of male successful candidates has steadily increased, with 19.1% in the 2021 academic year, 19.9% in 2022, and 24.8% in 2023.
The number of successful candidates under the disability quota was 24, which is 8 more than last year.

The final successful candidates will complete pre-appointment job training for adaptation to the educational field from the 13th to the 24th, and will be appointed as new teachers on March 1.
