Geochang Changpowyun to Operate '2025 Ecological Exploration Program'

Applications Open from February 17
On the 11th, Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced that it will operate the ‘2025 Ecological Exploration Program’ at Geochang Changpowon, the first garden in Gyeongnam, providing residents with an opportunity to connect with nature.
The ecological exploration program will run from March to June, every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and is open to all residents from children to adults. Guided by professional ecological interpreters, participants can listen to explanations about the flora and fauna within Geochang Changpowon and experience them firsthand.
The program targets groups of about 20 people from daycare centers, schools, and institutions, and participation is free of charge. Applications will be accepted starting from the 17th. Interested parties can apply through the Geochang Changpowon website after a phone consultation with the person in charge.
Park Jeong-ae, Director of the Environment Division, said, “Through this ecological exploration program, we hope residents will experience the local flora and fauna up close and have a healing time appreciating the value of nature,” adding, “We hope many residents participate to experience the beautiful ecological resources of Geochang Changpowon and recognize the importance of the local ecological environment.”

Meanwhile, in addition to the ecological exploration program, Geochang Changpowon is planning various new experiential events. Along with existing programs, ‘Visiting Small Garden,’ ‘Blooming Brain’ for seniors at risk of dementia, and ‘Wellness Program’ for well-being and health will also be operated.
