Incheon Port Records 69,000 Tons in E-commerce and Multimodal Transport Performance... Largest Among National Ports
Incheon Port Authority (IPA) announced on the 7th that last year, the volume of e-commerce and sea-air combined transport cargo reached 69,000 tons. This is the highest volume among the same sectors at 10 ports nationwide.
The e-commerce cargo volume at Incheon Port recorded 25,640 tons last year, marking the 11th consecutive year as the top performer among ports nationwide. This represents a 29.6% increase compared to 2023, mainly driven by the rise in overseas direct purchase cargo from China.
Incheon Port is recognized as a port specialized in e-commerce, equipped with various infrastructures such as the Korea-China ferry route and the Incheon Customs maritime express logistics center.

View original imageLast year, Incheon Port's sea-air combined transport volume also reached a record high of 43,288 tons, a 15.5% increase compared to 2023 (37,483 tons). According to the logistics industry, combined transport cargo, which requires speed, is prioritized at Incheon Port due to its high predictability, thereby meeting customers' demands for fast delivery.
Sea-air combined transport is a form of integrated transportation linking sea and air transport, combining the cost-effectiveness of shipping with the speed of air transport.
