Jeonnam Province Receives First Large Donation of the Year for Hometown Love Donation Program
Yang Kwangyong and Kang Yunseong Become Top Donors
with 20 Million Won Contribution to Jeonnam Hometown Love Fund

View original imageJeollanam-do announced on the 6th that Yang Kwangyong, President of the Gwangju-Jeonnam City Residents Association, and Kang Yunseong, Honorary President, have become the joint top donors for 2025 by contributing a total of 20 million won to the Hometown Love Donation Fund.
In 2023, the first year of the Hometown Love Donation Program, Honorary President Kang donated 2.5 million won. In 2024, President Yang donated 2.5 million won and Honorary President Kang donated 5 million won.
This year, both President Yang and Honorary President Kang each donated 10 million won, contributing a total of 20 million won and participating in the Jeonnam Hometown Love initiative for three consecutive years.
President Yang said, "After hearing the news of the Jeju Air passenger plane accident, I wanted to help in any way I could, so I participated in Jeollanam-do's Hometown Love Donation."
Honorary President Kang pledged, "I will continue to take the lead in active communication and sharing activities for the development of Jeollanam-do."
Ko Mikyung, Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau of Jeollanam-do, stated, "We are grateful that, despite the difficult economic situation, you have not forgotten your hometown and have continued to support the development of Jeollanam-do every year through your donations."
