Two Arrested Including 'Green Jumper Man' in Seobu District Court Riot... "Risk of Escape"
Two individuals, including the so-called 'Green Jumper Man' who was captured actively engaging in violence during the rampage at the Seoul Western District Court, were arrested by the police on the 4th.
Chief Judge Jang Seong-hak of the Civil Appeals Division 2-3 at the Western District Court held a pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant review) for a man in his 20s, identified as A, who is accused of trespassing in a jointly owned building and damaging public property, and issued an arrest warrant citing "risk of flight."
A is accused of breaking into the Western District Court and damaging property after President Yoon Seok-yeol was detained in the early hours of the 19th of last month.
In a YouTube video recorded at the time, A was identified as the man wearing a green jumper. He appeared to lead the violent incident by breaking the glass window of the court's duty room and spraying fire extinguishers at the police officers.
The court also issued an arrest warrant for a man in his 30s, B, who is accused of assaulting a broadcaster reporter and seizing filming equipment (robbery and assault, trespassing in a jointly owned building), citing risk of flight as the reason.
B surrendered to the police claiming he had entered the court during the rampage, and during the investigation, additional charges of assaulting the press were revealed.
