Kim Manseop, Director of the Culture and Welfare Bureau, presented tourism revitalization plans during a city briefing that day.
The city plans to strengthen its status as a Yi Sunshin historical and cultural tourism city by developing garden tourism content centered around Sinjeongho, the first local garden in Chungnam.
To this end, various content such as Yi Sunshin webtoons and musicals are currently under development.
Additionally, the city will promote wellness tourism utilizing its signature hot springs and lay the groundwork for including hot spring therapy in the National Health Insurance.
Furthermore, nightscapes will be created at major tourist attractions such as Eunhaengnamu-gil, and hospitality training for tourism industry workers will be strengthened.
Meanwhile, the city will hold a proclamation ceremony for the Year of Visiting Asan at 2 p.m. on the 24th at the plaza in front of Onyang Oncheon Station.
