Dongducheon-si Opens 'Taxi Shelter' for Transportation Workers
Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 23rd that it held an opening ceremony for a taxi rest area in Sangpae-dong and officially began its operation.

View original imageDongducheon City established a 404㎡ taxi rest area next to the large vehicle public parking lot in Sangpae-dong to improve the welfare of taxi drivers and enhance taxi services. The taxi rest area is equipped with convenience facilities such as massage chairs, TVs, and blood pressure monitors, which are expected to greatly improve the working conditions of taxi drivers who work long hours.
The taxi rest area will be directly managed by Dongducheon City for the time being, during which time deficiencies in the facilities will be addressed and plans for consigned operation will be reviewed. The rest area operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
