Professor Mo Sangman and Chosun University Research Team Win Best Paper Award at International Conference

on Mobile Edge Servers
Chosun University (President Kim Chunseong) announced on the 22nd that the research team led by Professor Mo Sangman from the Department of Computer Engineering, College of IT Convergence, recently received the Best Paper Award at the 13th International Conference on Green and Human Information Technology (ICGHIT 2025) held in Vietnam.
The ICGHIT 2025 international conference is an academic event where leading scholars in the fields of "green computing considering environment and energy" and "human-centered human computing" gather to present the latest research papers and discuss trends in new technology development in response to the diversification, advancement, and intelligence of information technology (IT).
The paper presented by Professor Mo Sangman's research team, titled "Empowering Metaverse through Mobile Edge Computing," systematically compared and analyzed an integrated technique that processes the increasing computing demands of metaverse user devices on mobile edge servers and temporarily stores the results for service.
The team was awarded the Best Paper Award in recognition of their contribution to identifying research issues through this study and suggesting future research directions.
Professor Mo stated, "The dedication of graduate student Baidya Tanmay, who as the first author systematically detailed the paper's topic and took the lead in data collection, analysis, identification of research issues, and comparative evaluation, formed the foundation of this paper."
