President Yoon Seok-yeol, who appeared at the Constitutional Court impeachment trial and finished his defense, was transferred to the Armed Forces Seoul District Hospital instead of Seoul Detention Center.
On the 21st, the Ministry of Justice stated, "President Yoon underwent a medical examination by the medical officer at Seoul Detention Center yesterday (the 20th) in accordance with the Act on the Execution of Sentences and Treatment of Prisoners and related laws and procedures," adding, "Considering the medical officer's opinion, permission for treatment at an external medical facility was granted by the warden, and he visited the external medical facility for treatment."
The transport vehicle carrying President Yoon, who finished the third hearing of the Constitutional Court impeachment trial, departed from the Constitutional Court in Jongno-gu, Seoul, at around 4:42 p.m. and headed to the Armed Forces Seoul District Hospital.
It is known that there are no particular abnormalities in his health. However, the Ministry of Justice stated, "We cannot disclose detailed medical information as it is sensitive personal information." President Yoon is expected to return to Seoul Detention Center after completing his treatment.
Earlier, the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Office sent six prosecutors and investigators to Seoul Detention Center at around 5:47 p.m. and attempted again to forcibly summon President Yoon, who had not complied with the summons. Since the first detention period is expected to end on the 28th, it is interpreted that they judged that a face-to-face investigation is urgent.

However, after leaving the Constitutional Court, President Yoon headed to the Armed Forces Seoul District Hospital, while the staff of the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Office arrived at the detention center first. If forcible summons is deemed difficult, the office may conduct an on-site investigation in the interrogation room inside the detention center.
