Gapyeong-gun Activates Emergency Medical System for Lunar New Year Holiday
52 Facilities to Operate from the 25th to February 2nd
"Minimizing Medical Service Gaps"
Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 21st that it will designate the period from the 25th to February 2nd as the 'Lunar New Year Holiday Special Response Period' and operate an emergency medical system in preparation for the long holiday including the Lunar New Year and temporary holidays.
During this period, the county has designated a total of 52 emergency medical institutions including local hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and public health centers to minimize medical service gaps and guide residents to use them. In particular, the Gapyeong-gun Public Health Center plans to remain open on Lunar New Year’s Day (January 29) to provide convenience to residents.
Information on medical institutions and pharmacies open during the holiday can be checked through △Emergency Medical Information App △Emergency Medical Portal △major search portals by searching for ‘Holiday Medical Service’. Additionally, guidance is available through the Health and Welfare Call Center, 119 Emergency Situation Management Center, and city/provincial call centers.
