Independence Hall Selected as One of the Top 100 Korea Tourism Destinations
Selected Again for the First Time in About 10 Years Since 2013-2014
Cheonan City in Chungnam announced on the 21st that the Independence Hall of Korea has been selected as one of the "Top 100 Korean Tourist Attractions for 2025-2026," an initiative organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization.
The "Top 100 Korean Tourist Attractions" is a project that promotes Korea's must-visit destinations for both citizens and foreign tourists, selecting them every two years.
The Independence Hall of Korea was named as one of 15 attractions in the Chungcheong region and has been selected again for the first time in about ten years since 2013-2014.
The city recommended the Independence Hall of Korea for this selection to promote it as a leading regional tourist destination that drives domestic travel demand and to revitalize tourism.
Meanwhile, since 2023, the city has been working to attract tourists by hosting the "K-Culture Expo" at this location and installing landscape lighting and media facade displays.
