Seoul Jung-gu, Operation of 'Nighttime Tax Administration Civil Service'
Extended Service Hours for Two Hours Every Evening on the 10th of Each Month
Jung-gu, Seoul, will operate a 'Nighttime Tax Administration Civil Service' on the deadline days for local tax payments starting this year to alleviate the inconvenience for residents who find it difficult to visit during business hours due to work or other reasons.
This initiative is part of proactive administration centered on taxpayers to prevent taxpayers from incurring penalties such as additional taxes by missing the reporting and payment during the busy deadline business hours, and to reduce administrative costs related to post-management of unreported and unpaid taxes.
The Nighttime Tax Administration Civil Service will be available on the deadline days for payment of taxes such as registration license tax, corporate local income tax, local income tax, automobile tax, and resident tax, as well as on the 10th of every month when special local income tax withholding and employee resident tax are paid. The service hours are extended for two hours from 6 PM to 8 PM after the end of regular working hours on the last day of the payment deadline. If necessary, residents can visit the Local Income Tax Division of the district office directly or inquire by phone.
