Dong-A University Center for Teaching and Learning Development Awards Top Students in Major Mentoring and Learning Clinic
The Center for Teaching and Learning Development at Dong-A University’s Institute for Educational Innovation (Director Hwang Gi-sik) held a performance presentation for the second semester of the 2024 academic year.
The event, held on the 15th at Kyungdong Hall on the Seunghak Campus, was organized to select and award outstanding students who participated in various learning programs operated by the Center for Teaching and Learning Development in the second semester of 2024, and to introduce programs to be conducted in the next semester.
In the ‘Donga Study’ program, the ‘Erpecially’ team, consisting of four students including Shin Hye-min (Department of International Trade), received an award. Shin Hye-min said, “I applied for Donga Study because I wanted to spend the last moments of my university life in a special way with my senior classmates. Studying together with friends who share the same goals was motivating, and it was a meaningful time to share various study methods.”
In the ‘Global Study’ program, the ‘I Scream’ team, consisting of six students including Lee Jun-hwa (Department of Semiconductor Engineering), was awarded. Lee Jun-hwa said, “I was glad to have a great opportunity to communicate with foreign professors through the Global Study. It was beneficial to share opinions and learn various English speaking skills while conversing in English with seniors and juniors from diverse majors.”
In the ‘JUMP-UP Major Mentoring’ program, Hong Sang-hyun (Department of Mechanical Engineering) received the grand prize. He shared, “There were many difficult moments studying my major alone. Studying with a mentor allowed me to ask even trivial questions, which was really helpful. I feel proud that this has become a stepping stone to grow further through new challenges.”
In the ‘Learning Style Clinic’ program, three students?Kim Do-young (Department of Industrial Management Engineering), Park Min-joo (Department of Tourism Management), and Kim Ki-beom (Department of Chemical Engineering)?received the Outstanding Participant Award. Kim Do-young said, “It was better to study systematically with the help of experts rather than studying alone. I am grateful to the teachers who sincerely listened to my learning concerns and kindly provided assistance.”

Director Hwang Gi-sik of the Institute for Educational Innovation said, “The Center for Teaching and Learning Development offers various programs to support students’ growth. I hope students make valuable use of their time and gain broad experiences by participating in diverse programs to grow.”
