GH, Rising Awareness... Positive Evaluation of Core Businesses Including Equity Accumulation Housing
As the brand awareness of Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) has significantly increased, consensus is spreading regarding key core projects such as spatial welfare, equity accumulation housing, and the 3rd Pangyo Techno Valley (Pangyo Startup Planet). In particular, about half of the respondents answered that the equity accumulation housing project should be expanded.
GH announced on the 20th that it commissioned Daehong Communications, a comprehensive advertising and public relations agency, to conduct a "GH Brand Awareness and Advertising Effectiveness" survey to understand the general public's awareness and favorability toward the corporation, as well as the advertising effects of major policies, resulting in these findings.
Daehong Communications conducted an online survey in November last year targeting 1,000 men and women aged 19 to 59 in the Seoul metropolitan area, including Seoul.
In the awareness section, when asked "Are you aware of GH, Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation?" 84.8% of respondents answered "I have heard of it," an increase of 14.7 percentage points from the previous year (70.1%). Especially in Seoul, awareness surged by 26.6 percentage points from 64.8% to 91.3%. In the Gyeonggi region, it improved by 1.3 percentage points to 75% compared to the previous year.
The percentage of respondents who answered "I have a favorable impression of GH" was 25.4%, up 1.3 percentage points compared to 2023. "Neutral" was 61.7%, and "Unfavorable" was 12.9%.
Regarding the question "Do you think GH's role is necessary for the development of the metropolitan area?" 62.6% of respondents answered "necessary," an increase of 8.1 percentage points from the previous year. By age group, those in their 20s showed the highest at 66.2%, followed by those in their 50s (62.5%), 30s (62.2%), and 40s (59.8%).
Awareness of the core projects that GH prioritized last year was as follows: ▲Life-oriented spatial welfare (34.0%) ▲3rd Pangyo Techno Valley (30.4%) ▲Equity accumulation sale housing (28.8%) ▲Smart & Compact City (23.8%).

Equity accumulation sale housing is a project where buyers initially acquire only a portion (10?25%) of the housing equity at cost price, similar to regularly paying into a savings plan to accumulate a lump sum, and then acquire the remaining equity in installments over 20 to 30 years while residing in the home.
In fact, in an online survey conducted by GH last October targeting 2,417 people nationwide, 83.7% responded that they had the intention to apply for the "Gwanggyo A17 Block equity accumulation subscription," showing a high level of interest.
