‘Geumcheon-gu Livelihood Economy G-Valley Entrepreneurs On-site Meeting’ Held at 4 PM on the 17th
All-out Support for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Small Business Owners to Revitalize the Livelihood Economy
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that on the 17th at 4 PM, it held the ‘Geumcheon-gu Livelihood Economy G-Valley Entrepreneurs On-site Meeting’ in the conference room of Korea Jephran Co., Ltd. located in G-Valley.
The meeting was organized to discuss ways to revitalize the local economy on-site with entrepreneurs amid recent economic uncertainties and shrinking consumer sentiment causing difficulties in the livelihood economy.
The meeting was attended by 10 representatives of companies representing G-Valley, including CES (Consumer Electronics Show) Innovation Award-winning companies, youth enterprises, and women-owned businesses, along with representatives and officials from related organizations such as the Geumcheon-gu Chamber of Commerce, Korea Industrial Complex Business Association Seoul (KIBA Seoul), and Seoul Business Agency.
The theme of the meeting was set as ‘Reviving the Livelihood Economy Amid the Impeachment Political Situation,’ and the concerns of entrepreneurs were heard. Afterwards, the policies supporting businesses planned for this year were shared with the entrepreneurs, providing an opportunity for communication.
Kim Jae-young, CEO of OTITON Medical, suggested, “Small and medium-sized enterprises are facing difficulties such as delays in overseas certification procedures,” and Kim Tae-hee, CEO of AFS, said, “There is a need to expand support for participation in overseas exhibitions and promotional support that can attract buyers’ interest.”
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, responded, “At the district level, we will actively consider measures such as applying jointly as a support plan for overseas certification, forming advisory groups, and expanding support for overseas exhibitions.”
The district is putting all efforts into supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners to help recover the livelihood economy.
From January 13 to 17, Mayor Yu Seong-hoon visited traditional markets and shopping districts in the area, including Nammun Market, Hyundai Market, Court Complex Road, Doksan-dong Woo Market, Ginkgo Market, and Jeonghun Hanmaeum Alley Market, to listen to the difficulties and opinions of merchants.
Support is provided to small and medium-sized enterprises with a total loan amount of 5 billion KRW at the lowest interest rate in autonomous districts (0.8%), participation in advanced industry exhibitions, and pioneering export consultation meetings. For small business owners, there is a special interest-free loan support program of 21.2 billion KRW under the Geumcheon model, issuance of Geumcheon G-Valley Love Gift Certificates worth 16 billion KRW, and a delivery fee support project worth 900 million KRW.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “I hope today’s meeting will be an opportunity to prepare practical support measures for the recovery of the livelihood economy and revitalization of the local economy,” and added, “Despite the difficult economic conditions, we will do our best to support small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners so that G-Valley, traditional markets, and shopping districts can fulfill their roles as the center of the local economy.”
