Cheon Dae-yeop, Chief of the Court Administration Office, expressed strong regret on the 19th regarding the intrusion incident by supporters of President Yoon Seok-yeol at the Seoul Western District Court, calling it "a denial and challenge to the rule of law," and stated that "strict legal responsibility must follow."
Cheon, who leads the Administration Office, the body overseeing judicial administration under the Supreme Court, released a statement that morning saying, "We express serious concern and strong regret over the intrusion incident by some protesters at the Seoul Western District Court."
He added, "This is a complete denial and a serious challenge to the rule of law, which must never happen and cannot be tolerated," and said, "A thorough fact-finding and strict legal responsibility must follow this incident."
He also stated, "The court will verify the exact extent of the damage and establish measures as quickly as possible to enable normal operations."

Earlier, supporters of President Yoon, who were protesting near the Western District Court, broke into the court around 3 a.m. after news of the issuance of an arrest warrant was announced, smashing the main gate and glass windows, and damaging furniture and facilities inside the court.
