The author who posted a threat online to kill the judge who dismissed President Yoon Suk-yeol's request for a detention review has surrendered to the police.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Cyber Investigation Unit on the 18th, suspect A expressed their intention to surrender through a lawyer the day before and voluntarily appeared today. The police have apprehended A and are investigating the case.
Earlier, the Geumcheon Police Station received a report of a threat to kill Judge So Jun-seop of the Seoul Central District Court and, under the direction of the Cyber Investigation Unit, began verifying the authenticity of the post and tracking the author.
On the online community DC Inside's 'People Power Party Minor Gallery,' a post stating "If caught on Judge So Jun-seop's commute, will be beheaded" was uploaded on the 16th.
