Gwangju Seo-gu, Awarded 'Excellent Institution' for Promotion of Statistical Work
Commendation from the Minister of Strategy and Finance
Seo-gu District in Gwangju City was recognized for its contributions to statistical work and was selected as an excellent institution.
On the 17th, Seo-gu announced that it was selected as an excellent institution for the '2024 Statistical Work Promotion Merit' organized by the Statistics Korea and received a commendation from the Minister of Strategy and Finance.
Seo-gu was acknowledged for its contribution to the successful execution of nationwide economic statistical surveys such as the National Business Survey and the Mining and Manufacturing Survey conducted by Statistics Korea last year.
In this survey, the district established its own plan tailored to local conditions, operated personnel systematically, and promoted participation through various media to ensure all businesses took part.
In particular, Seo-gu received high praise for efforts to reduce inconveniences for surveyors by establishing safety measures, maintaining close communication with them after training, and minimizing cases of non-cooperation or complaints from respondents during the survey process.
