Jangseong County in Jeollanam-do signed an investment agreement on the 17th with Coupang Logistics Service (CLS), a subsidiary of Coupang Inc., for the establishment of the 'Jangseong Sub-hub.'
According to the county, Coupang will invest 15 billion KRW to build the Jangseong Sub-hub, which will have a total floor area of 13,000 square meters (4,000 pyeong) and will be located in Yongheung-ri, Seosam-myeon, Jangseong County.
The sub-hub will serve as an intermediate facility, functioning as a 'mini logistics center' that connects the main logistics center and delivery camps, and will help distribute the logistics volume of the main center.
Coupang plans to hire 450 employees and begin operations next month.
