Six Areas and 14 Health Experience Zones
Beneficial Programs Offering Fun and Engaging Activities

Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 17th that the Galmae-dong Health Living Support Center has officially launched the ‘I Protect My Body’ Children's Health Experience Center as a specialized project for women and children.

Reflecting the high proportion of children in Galmae-dong, this project, which began pilot operation on July 19, 2023, was designed to help growing children develop healthy lifestyle habits. So far, a total of 3,633 participants have joined, receiving great support from the local community.


Under the theme ‘I Protect My Body!’, the center consists of six areas (Health Cinema - Kkalkkeumine - Yeongyangine - Ttunteunie - Jikimine - Maeumine) and 14 experience zones. It offers enjoyable and educational activities such as △ animated health guardian videos △ handwashing △ tooth brushing △ infectious disease prevention △ internal organ structure △ vascular health △ nutrition △ reactive oxygen species △ physical growth △ obesity escape △ oxygen experience △ alcohol prevention △ smoking prevention △ smartphone addiction prevention.


Group experiences are held twice a day from Monday to Thursday, with up to 20 children per session. Reservations can be made through the Guri City Public Health Center or the Guri City Integrated Reservation Portal in the previous month. Individual experiences are accepted via phone or on-site reservations during the current month.


Additionally, to ensure safe experience activities, the city will deploy professional staff at the experience center and collaborate with the local community by assigning nursing students and volunteers to maintain strict safety measures.


Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City said, “I hope that visiting the Health Experience Center will greatly help children, the future leaders, in forming healthy lifestyle habits. We will do our best to develop and operate beneficial programs that support children’s healthy growth.”
