Jangseong County in South Jeolla Province is taking steps to foster a culture of integrity among public officials ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
According to the county on the 17th, a "Cleanliness Advisory" initiative will be implemented from the 20th to the 30th. This campaign aims to prevent corrupt practices during vulnerable periods such as holidays and vacation seasons by promoting compliance with the Code of Conduct for Public Officials and the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act.
The main points of the campaign include: "Prohibition of receiving money, entertainment, or gifts from parties related to official duties during the Lunar New Year period," "Restriction of face-to-face meetings or discussions, including meals, with parties related to official duties," "Prohibition of leaving the workplace under false pretenses such as fake business trips," and "Prohibition of delays or neglect in public services under the pretext of the Lunar New Year holiday."
