Gyeongsan City Extends Support Period for Temporary Special Youth Monthly Rent Assistance Program
Up to 200,000 KRW per person, regardless of phase,
for a maximum of 24 payments
Gyeongsan City in Gyeongbuk is strengthening city-level efforts by providing various benefits and support to create better living conditions for young people.
On the 16th, Gyeongsan City announced that it will extend the support period of the Youth Monthly Rent Temporary Special Support Project, which is being promoted to alleviate the housing cost burden of young people facing economic difficulties, from the existing 12 months to 24 months.
The Youth Monthly Rent Temporary Special Support Project, which started as the first phase in August 2022, has extended its support period from the original 2026 to 2027, and applications are available until the 25th of next month. This project supports young people by providing 200,000 KRW monthly rent assistance to help stabilize their housing.
Eligibility for application includes young people aged 19 to 34 who live separately from their parents and do not own a home, meeting the criteria of household median income at or below 60% (monthly income of 1.43 million KRW or less for a single-person household) and property value of 122 million KRW or less for the youth household, as well as household median income at or below 100% (monthly income of 5.02 million KRW or less for a three-person household) and property value of 470 million KRW or less for the original household including parents.
Applications can be submitted online through the Bokjiro website or by visiting the administrative welfare center of the applicant’s jurisdictional eup, myeon, or dong.
