He must be treated with the respect befitting the head of state of the Republic of Korea." She also claimed, "'The illegal Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO)' will surely request an arrest warrant for President Yoon at the Seoul Western District Court," and added, "'The red judicial cartel' will issue an illegal warrant. The CIO, which resorts to extortion, and the collaborating police will surely be punished severely."
Furthermore, she added, "The composed and calm President Yoon, now is not the time to cry but the time to 'fight,' and as a citizen of this country, I will keep this in my heart."
Meanwhile, President Yoon's side announced on the 16th that they will not comply with the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials' (CIO) re-investigation. According to President Yoon's side, during the first investigation conducted immediately after his arrest the previous day, he broadly stated that the declaration of martial law was justified and that the charge of rebellion did not hold.

The CIO arrested President Yoon the previous day, investigated him for about 10 hours and 40 minutes, and then detained him at Seoul Detention Center in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province. President Yoon requested a postponement of the morning investigation due to health reasons, which the CIO accepted, planning to resume the re-investigation around 2 p.m. President Yoon's side has also filed a petition for a detention review with the court, requesting a determination on the legality of the arrest itself. The Seoul Western District Court, which issued the arrest warrant, claimed it does not have exclusive jurisdiction over this case and referred it to the Seoul Central District Court.
